Informatics Core

    The Informatics core develops software of value to potentially all PGA researchers.  The software and computational services are available via the PGA software page and the Biocomputing Group.

The Informatics Core has the following computing resources:

  • 32-CPU Linux cluster w/17 GB RAM
  • 2 HP 4-CPU UNIX PA-RISC servers
  • HP 2-CPU UNIX Visualize server
  • HP disk array
  • RARE RAZOR 3 TB RAID5 disk array
  • SGI Octane UNIX graphics server
  • Several Sun UNIX workstations
  • ~70 PC workstations running Windows NT/2000 and Linux
  • Networked locally through a Cisco gigabit switch
